"Broadcast media (including TV, Radio, YouTube, and film on your own website - if you choose to incorporate it) is probably the most powerful way of getting your point across, quickly, effectively and professionally - but only if you know how to use it correctly - to get the results you want."
This workshop with experienced broadcaster and complementary medical expert, Jayney Goddard, covers every aspect of broadcast media - from radio, television, film, right through to creating your own video for your website, YouTube etc. and other broadcast media.
On this workshop you'll learn exactly how to:
- Build relationships with the media - so that you are the 'go to' expert in your field when TV, Radio and other broadcast media opportunities arise.
- Deliver the perfect 'soundbite' so that your point is immediately understood and is a powerful tool for promoting you and your work.
- Be totally 'media ready' so you'll never be 'caught on the hop' should "News Night" suddenly need you for expert comment!
- Be absolutely confident slight nerves can help an interview - but extreme nervousness can really scupper your valuable media opportunity. Jayney will show you exactly how to maintain that slight 'edge' without nerves getting the better of you.
- Perfect your voice - tone and timbre play a large part in being taken seriously. You'll learn how to modulate your voice so that it works for you in all forms of broadcast media - including TV and Radio
- Breathe and relax - the essence of a good interview is the ability to relax in front of the camera - so that you appear totally confident
- Tailor your body language to get your point across professionally and effectively (we'll even show you what to do with your hands!)
- How your appearance can affect the message you want to give. You'll learn how to avoid some of the clothing errors that can actually affect television footage. We'll also cover how different attire shapes the way that you are perceived.
- Handle difficult questions. You'll learn simple 'awkward question' handling techniques that will firmly position you as The Expert in the eyes (and ears) of your audience - whether on TV or radio
- Dealing with challenging interviewers. Interviewers are humans too and they can sometimes have 'off days'. You'll learn how to transform a 'so - so' interview into a great interview.
- Crisis control - perhaps one of the most important media skills for complementary medical and natural healthcare practitioners, crisis control will give you the ability to be in total command of the interview - and turn the crisis to your advantage.
- You'll learn why it is vital that you begin to use YouTube and other video hosting sites to promote yourself and your services.
YouTube is set to become the No1 search engine in the very near future and this is a vital resource for practitioners - or anyone involved in complementary medicine and natural healthcare.
In our field, it is vital that people can see us and assess whether we are the type of practitioner that they would like to be treated by.
YouTube - and videos on your own website - and other sites including The Complementary Medical Association's new site will become your 'shop window'. This is probably the most powerful promotion tool out there - and we'll show you how - exactly - to use it to get the results you need.
Overall - this media training course will position you as the definitive 'go-to' source for future media opportunities. Once broadcasters realise that you are a totally professional expert - with the ability to reliably 'deliver the goods', you'll be asked back time and again for comment.

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is invaluable for anyone who wants to take advantage of the massive benefits of broadcast media in any way, whether you're a seasoned media professional or you're planning to launch your broadcast media career!
The workshop is geared towards helping complementary medical and natural healthcare professionals (practitioners, students going into practice, trainers etc.) to get tangible - real world - results that will help to boost your profile in a positive and high impact manner.
Time: This workshop runs from 9.30am to 1.00pm with a short working break midway through the morning during which refreshments will be provided. Do also feel free to bring your own drinks and nibbles to keep your energy up.
Location: Our venue is located at St Mary Abbots Centre at Vicarage Gate in Kensington. It's a lovely venue in a leafy courtyard in the heart of London's bustling Kensington. Just over the road from St Mary Abbots Centre is the amazing Wholefoods superstore where you can get every healthy food know to woman and mankind!
Getting there: St Mary Abbots Centre is really easy to get to - High Street Kensington Underground Station is extremely close and there are numerous bus services from all over London. (Be warned though - there are several places in the area with similar names - so if you take a taxi do bring a map with you to show the driver so that you don't get dropped off in the wrong place (like we did first time we went!)
After you book: Upon booking on this site you'll receive a ticket emailed to you by return. This ALWAYS comes out - so if you haven't received it check your spam folder as that's where it may well be lurking! You'll need to bring your ticket with you.
Registration: Please arrive after 9.10am to go through the registration process as we will start at 9.30am sharp!

Thanks to you & Dave for an xlnt day last week. I'm already making attempts to change my email address from yahoo to my own domain. I intend to work through your pack and build it into my own 'lifestyle plan'(I struggle with the term 'business plan').
